We can handle all aspects of product development from definition to production-ready drawings and prototypes.
For low volume production (e.g. 50+ to 200 units - limited edition runs) we can also handle fabrication and assembly, if need be. Normally, however, we recommend dedicated fabricators and assembly companies for any volume.
More often, Eisen Audio is subcontracted for one portion of a larger product/system; designing a sub-system (e.g. switching, I/O) or sub-circuit (e.g. DI section within mic preamp), or drawing a Printed Circuit Board based on a client's finished circuit. PCB design is our #1 specialty.
Or if you already have people to do the work, but would like the experienced opinions of Jens Jungkurth and colleagues, Eisen Audio can be hired as consultant.
Often times when using vintage analog equipment in the modern hybrid analog/digital recording studio, users have a different set of requirements and thus require modifications to the original circuitry, This may take place as simple component changes, or in the form of retrofit and replacement circuitry. Eisen Audio has created several such upgrades for Neve 80xx series mixing consoles, and can easily design upgrades for many similar brands of equipment. Also, sometimes it is more cost-effective to simply replace deteriorated or missing modules/ cards with newly constructed substitutes/ reproductions rather than locate and/or restore the originals. In any situation, we pride ourselves with maintaining the best compromise between historically authentic sound quality, contemporary functionality, and longevity of service.
Aside from supporting its own products, Eisen Audio, LLC also provides factory service for select third-party products, as well as both in-shop repair and on-site field service for select lines of unsupported (mostly vintage) equipment.
