Jens has been excellent in answering my frequent emails, keeping me updated on his progress with the units, and also just indulging me in general chit-chat. It seems Eisen Audio has a great bias towards good old fashioned, person-to-person customer support. I, personally, find this very relieving; my confidence in his product is high.
- Benny Grotto, Engineer/Producer/Mixer
Jens is a genius. He built 10 of my pre-amps and two EQs. He really works with you to give you the tonal character you’re looking for. He’s really young but I think that in 15 years people will be using his name like Rupert Neve.

I plan on putting some sweat equity into the room by building four Eisen Audio D.I.Y. 500 Series preamps, which lets me choose from a wide variety of op amps, I/O transformers; this is an inexpensive, custom way to add more variety to the front end (about $400 each, depending on parts).
Kevin Becka, 3 Studios, 3 Budgets, Mix Magazine, November 2008
If you're looking at these pre-amps listed here and thinking that they just don't quite have what you're looking for, Eisen Audio might be able to help you. The Eisen Audio Custom pre-amp service uses the DIY500 mkII universal template to construct individually tailored modules. The front panel, markings, buttons, knobs, and connectors can all be designed just how you want, and standard switch features can also be modified.

Huge range of custom 500 Series preamps and D.I.Y. kits also offered

Almost all of the mic pre’s that I use on this record were hand-built by Jens Jungkurth, of Eisen Audio
