DIY500 mkII Minimal Kits are in stock and ready to ship. This is the only kit we know of for building your own API™ 500 Series compatible mic, line, or instrument preamp. Need to add more preamps to your lunchbox or rack? Need to use up those spare parts (e.g. the contents of an API 312 card)? Want to do it yourself, learn something, and save money? Whether you're looking for a unique sound, or a custom clone, DIY500 makes it possible. Check it out!
If you don't want build it yourself, ask us about the Eisen Audio Custom preamp service. Prices are often less than those of comparable commercially available preamps.
The limited edition of LILPEQr 500 Series Program Equalizers sold out in three days. Thanks to ongoing demand for more, the LILPEQr will be available as regular production (read: unlimited edition!). Thanks to Ed Anderson we finally have a suitable input transformer substitute, and a willing manufacturer. There should be a release announcement sometime in the next two months, so sit tight!
There has been talk of making a batch of our so-called "Neve-ish" 500 Series mic preamps this spring. If you're interested, please send an e-mail to let us know. This type of feedback will encourage us to begin production.
In the meantime, we are hard at work designing 500 Series modules for other companies such as You Pretty Duck and Glide On Fade.
